Syed Mujakkir Hossain-AHN is an academic professional at RTM Al-Kabir Technical University (RTM-AKTU) with demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership. He is currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of Applied Health and Nutrition at RTM Al-Kabir Technical University (RTM-AKTU). Prior to this role, he worked as a research associate at McHigher—Center for Health Research, participating in various granted research projects, and as a research assistant at Oxford Policy Management under the Bangladesh National Health Services Standards (NHSS) project. His expertise includes mentoring thesis students, conducting independent qualitative and quantitative research studies, writing research grants, preparing manuscripts, and managing research teams.

In addition to his academic and professional excellence, he is also a two-time national research grant awardee from the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) and the Ministry of Science and Technology.

He completed his Master of Public Health (MPH) and Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) from the prestigious Jahangirnagar University, with outstanding academic performance. With a combination of academic leadership, mentoring, and research experience, he continues to contribute significantly to public health education and research.

His research interests span the fields of Food security and nutritional inequalities, lifestyle behaviors, and chronic disease prevention. He is particularly interested in designing behavioral intervention utilizing mHealth technology to reduce the burden of obesity and chronic diseases.
