Short Biography

Md. Nahid Islam is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at RTM Al-Kabir Technical University (RTM-AKTU) from 01 August 2023. Prior to this, he worked actively as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at SUST Research Center, Sylhet.

Mr. Nahid completed his B.Sc. (Engg.) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet. He was awarded the bachelor’s degree With Distinction by SUST for his academic excellence. Additionally, he received distinguished recognition, including the Pearson Edexcel High Achievers' award and The Daily Star Award for his outstanding performance in both O'Level (IGCSE) and A'level (IAL) examinations.

Mr. Nahid has excellent communication and organizational skills for which he served as an Organizing Secretary at IEEE SUST Student Branch. He was also a Student Member at IEEE, Executive Member at EEE Society, SUST and General Member at RoboSUST, a prominent robotics organization at SUST.

RESEARCH INTEREST

  • Research interest includes various fields of Power Electronics such as Wireless Power Transfer, Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy, Energy Storage Systems and High Frequency Power Electronic Converters.
